Optimum Auxiliary Fan Location to Control Air Recirculation

Abstract This paper presents the optimum auxiliary fan(s) location to control air recirculation in dead-end workings where diesel-powered vehicles operate. Investigations were conducted with various secondary fan locations from crosscut varying intake quantities using a 30 m 3 /s capacity twin 75 kW and 45 110 DPM. The results showed that if drive airflow rate matches capacity, will occur even when is located 10 away entry. Results also quantity was greater than or equal 150% of no observed at least 5 access.
